On February 25, 2026, a roundtable discussion on the topic "Muratbek Imanaliev: Professional Path and Contribution to the Development of the SCO" was held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the outstanding diplomat, statesman, and public figure of the Kyrgyz Republic, Muratbek Sansyzbaevich Imanaliev.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Diplomatic Academy, heads of the diplomatic corps, M. Imanaliev's relatives, as well as representatives of the expert and scientific community, veterans of the diplomatic service, and associates of the anniversary hero.

In his video address, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev described the anniversary celebrant as the "patriarch of Kyrgyz diplomacy" in our country. He also emphasized that it was M. Imanaliev who, in 1991, formed the first professional team at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which today represents the country's interests on all continents. The minister expressed his deep gratitude to the prominent diplomat for his dedicated service to the Fatherland, noting that his wealth of experience is now a national asset.

Deputy Minister Almaz Imangaziyev recalled that it was under Imangaziyev's leadership that Kyrgyzstan received international recognition and joined the UN. Rector of the Diplomatic Academy, Ruslan Rakhimov, in turn, emphasized his contributions to the development of the national diplomatic school.

Video congratulations were also delivered by SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev, CSTO Secretary-General Taalatbek Masadykov, and CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev. The heads of the organizations emphasized M. Imanaliev's exceptional personal and professional qualities, noting his outstanding contribution to the development of international cooperation and strengthening the authority of the regional associations where he served in leadership positions. On behalf of the diplomatic corps, Nazirmad Alizoda, Dean of the Council of Ministers and Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan, expressed his deep respect.

A key event was the award ceremony for the M. Imanaliev Scholarship, established by the diplomat's family in conjunction with the Diplomatic Academy to support talented international relations students.
Guests were particularly drawn to the photo exhibition, which captured key milestones in the hero's life: from his time as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary General of the SCO to archival documents and heartwarming family photos.

At the conclusion of the meeting, veterans of the diplomatic service, scholars, and experts shared personal recollections of M. Imanaliev's professional career. The participants discussed in detail his role in strengthening international cooperation and developing the school of Oriental studies, confirming the anniversary's status as an outstanding diplomat.
