On February 19, 2026, the Diplomatic Academy named after K. Dikambaev, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, held an event dedicated to International Mother Language Day, which is celebrated annually on February 21.
The event was attended by employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the management and faculty of the Diplomatic Academy, as well as students.
Rector of the Academy R. Rakhimov delivered a welcoming speech, congratulating the participants on International Mother Language Day, emphasizing that the native language is the pride of every nation and that its preservation and development are of particular importance.
During the meeting, participants noted the importance of reading books in different languages. It was also emphasized that this higher education institution implements a systematic approach to language training: students study two foreign languages—their primary and secondary languages—which contributes to the development of highly qualified specialists in international relations.
As part of the festive program, participants organized poetry readings and musical performances in Kyrgyz, Russian, English, German, French, Arabic, Chinese, and other languages, as well as an educational quiz prepared by students of the Diplomatic Academy.
The event took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, reaffirming the commitment to the principles of preserving and developing native languages, as well as strengthening intercultural interaction.
