Mission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K. Dikambaev:
The mission of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K. Dikambaev as a future national scientific and educational center is to train and retrain professional specialists based on a competency-based approach, able to take an effective part in setting and solving foreign policy tasks of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to strengthen the ties of academic science and diplomatic practice.

The Diplomatic Academy traces its history back to the establishment in 1998 at the International University of Kyrgyzstan of the Center for Training and Advanced Training of Diplomatic Personnel. For a very small number of students from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Center conducted two-week courses in diplomacy, political science, international relations, international law and other disciplines, which did not quite meet the expectations and requirements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic for the quality training of highly qualified young diplomats.
On June 12, 2001, the Diplomatic Academy was established by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The founder was the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic - this was the first step towards the formation of a higher educational institution of a new status. In the same year, the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic “On approval of the Regulations on the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and its structure” was adopted, and in 2002, the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the structure of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
Initially, only one program worked - "International Relations", but, taking into account the needs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the labor market in the relevant field, such programs as "Jurisprudence" and "Economics" were opened.
Further, in the context of modern realities, there was a need to increase highly qualified personnel potential, both in the public service and in all spheres of the country's economy: specialists who would not only receive a quality education, but would learn to think globally, take the initiative; personnel who have communication and presentation skills.
