The event aimed to deepen the future diplomats' knowledge of key areas of consular activity and the practice of protecting Kyrgyz citizens abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers from the Department of Consular Service provided detailed information on the following aspects of consular operations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>legal basis and international norms governing the protection of citizens' rights abroad;<\/li>\n<li>practical mechanisms to assist Kyrgyzstanis in emergency situations;<\/li>\n<li>features of interaction with law enforcement and judicial authorities of foreign states;<\/li>\n<li>issues of citizenship, passports, migration and notarial acts;<\/li>\n<li>the importance of preventive educational work among citizens traveling abroad<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The importance of timely response, professional communication, competence and strict adherence to protocol in the performance of consular duties by consular officers was noted.<\/p>\n<p>Following the lecture, a discussion took place during which students were able to ask questions about real-life consular cases, contemporary challenges, and the specifics of consular service in the context of global citizen mobility.<\/p>\n<p>The Diplomatic Academy expresses gratitude to the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic for its contribution to the professional training of future personnel of the country's foreign service and intends to continue cooperation within the framework of educational and practice-oriented
