World Rectors' Forum

On 14 September 2022, the first World Rectors Forum was held at State Residence No 1, Enesai Congress Hall. The Forum was organised by the Ministry of Education and Science and the World Intellectual Property Organisation.

The forum was inaugurated by Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, who wished success and productive work to all participants.

The purpose of the forum is to increase the efficiency of research and innovation activities of universities through the best international practices. инновационной деятельности университетов с помощью лучших международных практик.

The World Rectors Forum will be a platform to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, a real basis for regular exchange of best practices, joint search for new ideas and technologies for their implementation, networking in different formats: real communication, digital and hybrid.

Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after К. Dikambaev - Chinara Adamkulova participated in this forum as a moderator of the panel session on "Development of entrepreneurship in higher education".

The Rector's panel session included speeches by:

- Dr. Tobias Studemann, Free University of Berlin (Germany), topic of the report: "Funpreneur - education of entrepreneurs

- Dr. Peter Ferdinandi, Vice Rector for Science and Innovation at Zemmelwiese University (Hungary), 'Research Development and Innovation Support System at Zemmelwiese University';

- Professor Ahmad Salem Al-Ameri, Rector, Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), presentation: "Creating Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Challenges for Universities";

- Ms. Sung-Joo Lee, President, Seoul International Friendship Organization (South Korea), presentation topic: "Digital Education as an Engine for Innovative Entrepreneurship Development";

- Dr. John Grether, Professor of Practice and Coordinator of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, School of Management, Kettering University (USA), presentation topic: "Developing Entrepreneurial Thinking".

The official procedure of signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Rectors of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K. Dikambaev Chinara Adamkulova and Varna Free University Peter Christoph took place on the margins of the forum.

A preliminary agreement has been reached that Varna Free University will accept PhD students for overseas internships from the Diplomatic Academy.
