(Русский) 4 июня в Дипломатической Академии МИД КР состоялась встреча представителей международных отделов Высших Учебных Заведений Кыргызстана, организованная Национальным Эразмус+ Офисом в Кыргызстане.

The meeting of representatives of the international departments of higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan organized by the National Erasmus + Office in Kyrgyzstan, was held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on June 4, 2019.

Chinara Adamkulova, the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy and Head of the National Team of Experts on Higher Education Reform Gulnara Chokusheva delivered a welcoming speech.

The internationalization of the university today is one of the priority directions of its development. The number of international projects implemented by the university is one of the indicators of internationalization. Projects allow participants to share experiences and knowledge with universities, new techniques and technologies. As an added benefit, it should be emphasized that some of the projects are aimed at strengthening academic and administrative structures. International departments in higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan play a key role in organizing and coordinating the university’s participation in international cooperation programs, attracting investments, and participation in academic mobility programs.

Institutional monitoring of higher education institutions showed that international departments in higher education institutions have limitations in institutional management and coordination, and revealed the absence of a database of implemented Tempus / Erasmus + projects.

During the meeting, the participants discussed a plan of action to improve the capacity of the international departments, the exchange of experience with universities that have the largest number of projects and ways to attract donors, the creation of an institutional memory (database) of projects in the international departments, the creation of a network of international departments.
