During the conversation, views were exchanged on a wide range of issues of educational cooperation and the prospects for cooperation in the training of young diplomats. The German side was particularly interested in the development of international courses for young diplomats, namely in what subjects, their content and what similar courses and schools exist at the Diplomatic Academy.
Mr. Adamkulova Rector introduced the guests to the main activities of the Diplomatic Academy, spoke about the ongoing educational programmes and international projects, stressed the importance of training of the young generation of diplomatic officials, oriented to the global standards of educational training. The Rector shared the experience of the International Summer School for young diplomats of Central Asian countries, development of relevant Master’s programmes, establishment of the Council of Young Diplomats, etc.
A special topic of the conversation was initiatives and proposals for bilateral cooperation in the field of professional development of young diplomats.
At the end of the meeting, Mr Westenfelder expressed deep satisfaction with the deepening ties between the countries in the field of education, expressed gratitude for the reception and wished success to the Rector, the entire staff and students of the Diplomatic Academy.
